School Play

Every two years Chief Dan George Middle School presents a musical, and this year we presented Disney's "Aladdin Jr." in April, 2024, putting on 11 in shows in 4 days.  In September, parent volunteers were enlisted and met weekly to create costumes and sets. These parents were a crucial part of the process all year, as well as helping backstage during the week of performances.  The casting process began in September as well, and by October rehearsals were happening daily.  Various groups met each day at lunch and after school.  By March, the entire cast was rehearsing daily in the school gym, and then April was showtime!  Over 150 students were involved, as well as multiple staff members.  The play was directed by Mme. Bellevance, who was assisted by Mme. Buffet. 

Congratulations everyone!  Your hard work paid off, and the final result was amazing!

In the past we have presented Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, the Lion King in 2017 and in 2019, and The Little Mermaid in 2022.  Stay tuned for more details of our next play in the Spring of 2026!
