Pizza Lunch Fundraisers - Wednesdays

The grade 8’s will be fundraising for end of year fieldtrips. Upcoming Pizza dates are:

• May 14
• May 28
• June 11

Order on School Cash deadline to order is the Monday before.

Grade 8 Dinner Dance
The Grade 8 Dinner Dance will be held on June 13th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at CDGMS in the gym. This is a long-standing Chief Dan George tradition which is highly anticipated by the students. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and students can mingle, take photos and enjoy refreshments from the mocktail bar. A gourmet, 3-course dinner will be prepared and served at 6:00 p.m., and the dance floor will be set up for a dance from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Throughout the evening, students have the opportunity to receive a multitude of door prizes. The cost for this evening is $20. We will need parent volunteers at the end of the evening (8:30 – 9:30 p.m.) to help with dismantling and clean-up. Please email emanuelle.bellavance@abbyschools.ca if you could help with the Dinner Dance clean-up.

Students’ participation in these events is, as usual, contingent upon their continued respectful and co-operative behaviour at school.

Payment
Payment of $20.00 should be done on SchoolCash online.  If you cannot pay online, please bring cash (exact change only), or cheque (made out to CDGMS) to Ms.Garrison in the office. The last day to pay for the dance is on May 30 so that the right about of food can be purchased.

PAC Annual General Meeting and Elections

The elections for next year's PAC executive and presentations of the PAC end-of-year fundraising and financial report will take place May 27 at 7:00pm in the CDG library. ALL POSITIONS ARE OPEN!! Parents can nominate themselves or another person for any position: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, DPAC Representative, and Fundraising Coordinator. Nominations and voting must be in person. The PAC is essential for raising and distributing government gaming grants and fundraising for everything from band concerts and theatre productions to staff appreciation and classroom spending.

CDG Staff Appreciation Lunch - potluck dishes still needed!

Please help us celebrate our amazing CDG staff with a well-deserved appreciation lunch on Thursday, May 8th. We're looking for donations of delicious food that can be dropped off at the school on the morning of the 8th. Please sign up here.

Grade 6 Immunization Clinic - May 13 - volunteers needed 8:30am - 11:37pm

The next grade 6 immunization clinic is taking place on May 13, and we need a few parents to hold hands, give out candy and juice boxes, and help the nurses ensure everything runs smoothly. Please sign up here.
